I’m Restacking this Restack Gildhelm posted and responding to it bit-by-bit.
TL;DR: He’s mad and unsuccessfully lashing out (much less educatively than I managed those months ago). He’s been this sorry for years. He should stop this and make the response article to Five Essential Errors that would apparently utterly destroy me and Imperator Ardito.

Not so.
Dramas and flying off the handle like this has been par for the course since his iFunny days as Bloodtheism.
Even for those who’ve never used the site, Googling ‘bloodtheism ifunny’ or ‘gildhelm ifunny’ will show you the remnants of those old accounts.
He’s tried to get personal with me, such as through my Two Confessions post; apparently armchair-psychoanalyzing and publicly circulating that which I meant to be publicly read is an own. Given how Substack is the only significant social media presence I’ve had, that drama route is very ill-advised. As a noob, I can only have scratched the surface.
As for the accusation of slander:
#1: Do It Already
I’m not sure how I would even respond to this article by Origen Adamantius without completely debilitating the pledge of quality I tell readers my publication will hold itself to… every “definition” is incorrect and in some instances antonymical, every description of “what they believe” is an incorrect and foolish one.
Gildhelm seems like a smart guy. If ALL of it was wrong, top to bottom, not only would I like to see him try to argue such without implicitly slipping into ‘why you’re wrong about my beliefs’ instead of ‘why you’re wrong about neo-pagan beliefs,’ but it really shouldn’t be that hard for him to take this apparently slam-dunk.
More than almost any other neo-pagan, Gildhelm is willing to make his articles and Notes as long as possible to make a point. He’s also angry, and obviously willing to go low if made pissy enough.
What’s stopping him?

Maybe I will have to in some way as the author has decided to maliciously slander me for no benefit to himself, and at no furtherance of understanding of anyone’s positions.

If the logic of ‘respond to slander’ has to be taken seriously, most neo-pagan writers would be utterly swamped with negative tags and mentions by Christians, Chandra Hardy-style.
Also, here’s what he means, word-for-word from Five Essential Errors:

What is irrational is to take this wrongheaded historiography and take it into the realm of absurdity.
Alongside neo-pagan complaints in the comments section of our previous Why White Christians and Pagans Cannot Coexist article, an example of this ‘in the wild’ can be found in the beginning of a sentence from this Note by Gildhelm:
“The whole of the Jewish tradition from its Iron Age henotheism, to the Jerusalem Church established by Peter, and through Augustine and on further…”
This is one of the biggest and most bizarre failings to understand history that one can find.
This is used as a representation of the typical ‘Christianity basically just = Judaism’ attitudes that pagans often have (and rely on). ‘Joos, Joos, Joos,’ etc.
Gildhelm thinks this is an offense whose graveness is apparently bordering on comical.
His original Note is displayed below. Read it, despite 75% of it having no clear relevance to the subject at hand. I think it speaks for itself.
Where’s the slander?
Whether I made a mistake or not, it wasn’t at all unreasonable to me to take that excerpt and use it as I did.
And sure, let me deliberately slander a prominent member of a demographic whose typical character includes hair-trigger Twitter-finger seethe, a petulant refusal to admit or accept any sort of flaw, and emotional incontinence as Christianity is concerned. That’ll go well.

Us being complete tools has singlehandedly made him go on a meltdown that not even I at my worst might’ve been able to top, first with his alleged unwillingness to denounce the Talmud and now with this.
